Happy Anniversary!

My grandparents will have been married for 60 years at the end of this month, so we wanted to take a picture to show off what they have to show for it. It isn't easy to get 18 people to look at the camera at the same time, but I don't think we did half bad! The Spencer Family in all its glory:

A quick trip

I had to go to Pocatello this weekend for The Foodbank's Biking for Backpacks event. I couldn't bear to leave Spencer overnight just yet, so I rolled out after I fed him at 4.30 am...and was holding him again by 4.00 that afternoon. I was EXHAUSTED though. Luckily, he cooperated to take a nap with mommy. Fergie was snuggled with us too, although daddy didn't capture her in the pic.

He is sweet all the time, but never more angelic than when he is asleep.

I stared at Spencer a lot this weekend. I mean, I always stare at him, but it just really hit me how big he is getting. Our tiny little preemie, who had no fat and skin literally hanging on his bones has turned in to this cute little chunk. We couldn't be happier!

3 months old already!

14 weeks to be exact. Boy has time flown by. Although three months really isn't that much time in the scheme of things, I can barely remember my life without Spencer being here. Little did I know how much we needed this bundle of joy to make our life complete! Once again Lindy with Lindy Photography hooked us up with some great pictures to commemorate this milestone. Here are a couple pics I stole from her blog.

Here is the picture I took on his 3 month birthday. Cute, but I sure am glad that I am friends with Lindy!

Thank you, Nana!

We were so lucky to have Nana Janis with us this past week to look after our wee one! His suprise early appearance left us in the lurge a bit with daycare, so our family has really pitched in these last two weeks that I have had to be at work. Nana came and stayed with us for a whole week to watch Spencer and get some top quality bonding time in. I know he misses her already! We didn't take many pictures (some weeks I take so many...others, not so much) but here is a great one with Spencer wearing a little outfit that used to be Chris's.

Spencer's First Balloon Ride

As promised, I have pictures! They are on facebook so you can check them out there. It was a fun morning and I am anxious to see how the boys develop in the world of ballooning. I've made some of my very best friends in that community, and I know that Lesley has too. We both went our own way...she learned to fly, I stayed on the ground, drank coffee and bossed people around. The boys will find their own way too!

Swings!

Lesley and I decided to walk down to the park Saturday morning before it got too hot. We recently have become "golf widows" on the weekends, so it is always a challenge to find something to keep a 9 month old and a 3 month old occupied. A nice walk seems to do the trick. We made the mistake of staying 60 seconds longer than we should have though, and had a "relazing" walk home with both kids screaming at the top of their lungs. I swear they just feed off each other...God knows what they are saying! Here were the happy times before the meltdown.

Sunday was an exciting morning because Spencer got to go for his first balloon ride in the Mickey Mouse balloon! Hopefully I will have pictures to share soon. It seems that Grampa's computer starting shoot sparks last night, so I really hope that they aren't lost to the world! I was really proud of our boy, who wasn't scared at all with the burner. A pilot in the making, perhaps?

Lucky Peak

Grampa Scott had been bugging us to come out on the boat all summer, so we decided we'd give it a try this weekend. It was also Great Grampa Ray's birthday, so we were having a big family barbecue at Lucky Peak. I quickly learned that a day on the boat is no longer relaxing with a two month old on board...especially when you have to keep him out of the sun. But we hung out "below deck" (is that the term?) and even had some smiles when he wasn't cranky from the heat. I am really excited for NEXT summer because I know he will have so much fun on the boat!

His full swimming ensemble. It should be noted that he got nowhere near the water all day.
