Taking Requests!

We'll be updating the ipod over the next month for wedding music (in addition to the LIVE performance of Stoney Holiday at the wedding) so if anyone has any requests, please let me know! Email me or post a comment. Right now its looking like a big ol' 80s dance party...

Wedding stuff

The countdown to my right tells me that we've got less than 90 days to go to the Big Day! I finally made the trip to the florists and have that big item off the list...and the invitations are printed and just need to be assembled, so we're getting there. Its my dream to have everything taken care of by April 1, but I've done enough events to know that a lot can happen in those 24 days.

So what else? I need to get my dress hemmed and pressed and finalize my centerpiece ideas. Can that be it?

Flower Girl

So, I was having a crazy day...lots going on and just sitting here waiting for the nervous breakdown that is sure to come between now and April when my friend Molly sends me this pic of our soon to be flower girl. How adorable is she?! Thanks, Meredith for taking on this big job (even if she's not quite sure what it is yet).

Finally...a wedding band!

No, not the musical kind, a ring to wear on my finger. After an exhaustive search we FINALLY found what I had been looking EVERYWHERE for yesterday. You wouldn't think something so simple would be so hard to find, would you?

Wedding Planning in the New Year

So, I have totally been slacking in the wedding planning department. I was all excited at first, then it tapers off, then you get a new job, then the holidays come, its been crazy. But now I am starting to panic. April 25 will be here in no time! I ordered my veil yesterday - after a long, veil or no veil debate with myself. Now I've got to get on track with invites and flowers. And even though I thought I had a menu set, I'm being wishy washy on that and might change my mind. I haven't had a question up for a while either, so here is a new one - vote early and vote often!

Bridesmaids Dresses

I think its funny how many times I've changed my mind about things in the few months that I've been engaged. Things I've been so certain on have completley been thrown out the window. I was obsessed with toile a couple of weeks ago...now I've moved on. Anyway, I was certain I wanted lilac bridesmaid dresses, until they were on. Once I saw this dress on my sister and cousin, I knew it was THE ONE!

All about Toile

I am all about incorporating toile into the wedding...have been for the last 35 hours or so. If I can find matching (or at least similar) purple toile paper and fabric this weekend, I will be such a happy camper. I really love the print and I've been kinda grasping for some sort of "theme" to run with and this just might be something to pull it all together! All you internet detectives out there, let me know if you find any purple toile!

Centerpieces

I was recently at my Junior League office and came across these centerpieces that they used in the past, but were just going to get rid of. I kinda like them, but am not completely inspired by them, so I welcome any thoughts and/or opinions. The pics are not great since I took them with my camera phone, but hopefully you get the idea. Junior League had a candle in them, but I'm not so sure that's what I need during the middle of the day. Chris thought we could wind some vines through them. Who knows?!

So at the wedding last weekend the bridesmaids didn't carry bouquets, but had on nicer corsages. I think I liked it. Thoughts?
