20 weeks

We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday...I can't believe how fast this is going. It felt like time was standing still when I was so sick, but now its flying by!
We got confirmation that he is, in fact, still a boy.
Now, the face shot kinda freaks me out, because he looks like skeletor, but here it is. It was kinda cute because he was sticking his tongue out at us on the screen (not in the pic though).

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday this past week...I know we did. Our baby boy got spoiled months before he even makes his appearance (thanks to Gramma's and Grampa's!) We had our Christmas Eve dinner at my Gram & Grampa Spencer's house. Rocco was dressed for the occasion.

Posing in front of the tree at 19 weeks...almost half way there! Does this mean I am going to get twice as big?

And then the fun begins on Christmas morning! We really are very fortunate to have such kind and generous families.

Zane's Winter Play

Last week Zane was in his first school play. I guess they are winter themed now instead of Christmas...which kinda blows if you ask me, but no one did. Anyway, it was all about the "Share Bears" and Zane was the star of the show as one of the honey-making bees. For those who haven't seen him in a while, he's the cute kid with the Star Wars shirt on.

Rocco is two months old!

And we are finally getting some smiles out of him!

San Jose Holiday Parade

I was hoping to escape the cold weather in Idaho and escape to California for the San Jose Holiday Parade. I made the escape, but only to temps about 20 degrees warmer than here. What a rip off! I had a blast seeing all my parade peeps and the parade, as always, was fabulous. Here we are after the parade.

Randomly, we came across these signs at the Carnival. I should have made time to actually go on the ride, but I settled for a picture.

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. Among the many things I was thankful for, being able to eat was at the top of my list this year! It was a clear, crisp day and we started out by working in the yard to get our appetites up. To be fair, it was Chris working in the yard and me taking pictures of Fergie.

Then on to mom's for the big meal, and to watch Green Bay play (and win!) Rocco, as usual, was not impressed with his first holiday.

It's a Boy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We just haven't been taking any pictures lately...I guess we've had a boring couple of weeks, as nothing has been photo worthy. Lots happening this coming week, though. Obviously, its Thanksgiving! I'm so glad I'm at the stage of my pregnancy where I love to eat, because I'd feel really left out on Thursday if I still felt sick to my stomach all day.

Wednesday, assuming baby bean cooperates, we'll know if we should start buying blue or pink. I really can't wait!

Friday is my Empty Bowls event for The Idaho Foodbank. Come join us at the Grove, starting at 11 to pick out a handcrafted bowl and enjoy some soup!

Welcome, Samantha!

Mom and Greg got a new puppy last week, a Golden Retriever named Samantha. She is a big ball of fluff! Fergie and her got along great. Here they are playing:

And I was worried they wouldn't get along! It was actually the most patient I've ever seen Fergie. She let the puppy gnaw on her legs...even her nub tail!

Rocco's first photo shoot

She started as Lesley's wedding photographer, but she has become a good friend and our go-to photo guru. Seriously, if you ever need a photographer, please check out Lindy Photography.

Here are my favorite pics that she took of Rocco last week, but you can see them all here.

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween this year. I took the easy, mellow way out this year and went to a reading by David Sedaris at the Morrison Center. If you have never read a Sedaris book, please log on to amazon right now and buy one. He is so funny, witty, charming and adorable! I expected him to be reading stories from his books, but it was all new stuff, so it was quite a "treat."

Here were our trick-or treaters this year. Rocco not too thrilled with the giant tiger outfit...

Gage as the best Yoda I think I've ever seen...

Zane's days of cute and cuddly costumes are well behind him now, I'm afraid. Here he is as Darth Maul...

Time to Vote!

I just checked out the Hamilton's blog and Molly had the bright idea of putting a boy or girl poll up, so naturally, I stole the idea. So, vote away!

Uneventful Weekend

It was another uneventful weekend at the Stonehocker house! "Morning" sickness continues to kick my ass, and I was pretty laid out on Saturday. I didn't leave the house or get out of my pajamas all day. I woke up hungry on Sunday (which is a rare, but always good sign) so we blasted to Cheesecake Factory for Sunday brunch, which I seriously packed away. Molasses cookies had been sounding good, so we made some at Mom's that afternoon...but by the time they were out of the oven, I was too sick to eat them. WAH WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I'd have to say last night was one of the sickest I've been to date. I hope that was the "it gets worse before it gets better" part. I am definitely ready to start ENJOYING this pregnancy!

Just for fun, here is Rocco looking cute, possibly contemplating his existence:

9 weeks down, 31 to go!

We had another ultrasound this week...it is so crazy to me how much the little bean has grown in just 2 and a half weeks. I wish I could get an ultrasound every day to see this little creature growing inside me. Next one is December 1, and we should know if we're cooking a boy or girl!

Welcome, Baby Rocco!

I'd have to say, the next best thing to having your own baby is watching your sister have hers. I am so proud of Lesley and so happy that Rocco is finally here. Here's the first of what I am sure will be thousands of pictures to come!

...and baby makes three!

So many folks know, so it seems silly to keep this "secret" any longer...we're having a baby! In May! Here is our first look at the little bean:

Its about the size of a coffee bean in this picture, and we were able to see the heartbeat as well...a bright flashing light on the screen...and quite possibly the best thing I've ever seen in my life.

Stay tuned for lots of updates!

See Spot Walk

The first Saturday in October is the See Spot Walk fundraiser for The Idaho Humane Society and has become a fun tradition for us since we've been pet owners. This year was no exception. Its total chaos to be around hundreds of dogs and their owners, but its a good time...and for a great cause!

A Chefs' Affaire

Here is the link to some of the event pics from A Chefs' Affaire this year. This is just a sneak peak...I can't wait to see the rest though! (especially the one of Annie & I checking each other's teeth...classy). Anyway, thanks to Lindy with Lindy Photography for her pro-bono work and doing an amazing job as always.

Pictures here!

Busy!

What a great weekend! On Thursday, it was the Foodbank's annual A Chefs' Affaire event...which has been my baby for the past eight months. It was so great to see it all come together and raise lots of money for a great cause. I love my job! I'll hopefully have pictures of the event soon, but here are a couple from the after party. Tyler and Stoney Holiday had a great show on Friday at Liquid...here's a little clip.

And then Saturday was Art in the Park and the band played again and did a FABULOUS job! They had a crowd of little ones dancing that cracked us up.

Sunday we looked at some houses and...what an undertaking that is! We have to hand it to Ryan Skene for not only being our realtor, but marriage counselor too!

Labor Day

We had a great time in Stanley over Labor Day. I just love being in the mountains with my family! It was chilly in the mornings, but beautiful sunshine days!

Cute moment...

There's just something about lil boys and puppy dogs...

Fergie Warhol

I've always wanted a picture like this of Fergie...don't ask my why, other than the fact that I'm crazy. I found this fun site (thanks facebook!) where you can make all sorts of cool pics...check it out HERE.

I did one of baby Gage too!

Hot August Nights

Where do I even begin? What a great weekend we had with all our friends in McCall for the first of what we hope will be an annual event! We had dance parties
And jello shots
And some more dance parties
And some hot-tubbing

And some more dance parties

Chris and I were also able to pry ourselves from the beach to go see Stoney Holiday at the Idaho-Down at Brundage. The guys sounded great!

A great time was had by all! What a great weekend! Thank you Hamilton's, McBride's, Skene's, Ramstad's, Foster's, Kearney's, Richin's,Bordner's, Nevala's, Rolph's and Cougar Karen for bringing the Party Muscle!
