Happy Easter!

Did everyone have a good Easter? We sure did. Chris gave me a hard time about purchasing an "easter outfit" for Spencer but hey, we always had them and guess what?! He was freaking adorable in it, so I stand by my decision.
Like the egg hunt at the zoo, Spencer didn't really care. But that's okay, I know we'll have lots of egg hunts in our future! Rocco on the other hand was all over it (again). This is what I get when I tried to take a picture of him...kid is on the move!
It would have been a dream come true to get a photo of the both of them at the same time, but that didn't happen. I am contemplating dressing them up again for an Easter do-over shot.

Today is Spencer's FIRST BIRTHDAY! Oh how time flies. Yet at the same time, I can barely remember my life without him.

Next weekend is the big birthday bash, so stay tuned!!!!!!

Eggstravaganza

Last weekend we went to the annnual Egg Scramble at Zoo Boise. I may be trying to rush things a bit, but I have been so anxious to take Spencer to these kinds of activities that I was without a doubt more excited then anyone else in the group. This pic pretty much sums up with Spencer thought of everything...just not sure what to make of it!
Rocco on the otherhand, was all about the eggs. In fact, it was hard to get a clear picture of him because he was a blur running around picking up all the eggs and candy he could get his hot little hands on.

The boys even got to meet the Easter Bunny! Spencer was game but Rocco needed mom nearby for the photo op. And who can blame him? Kinda creepy.

Spencer's first trip to the zoo was back in October and he wasn't that aware of his surroundings, so it was fun to watch him notice all of the animals this time. Here he is in awe of the monkeys swinging around.

Food, glorious food!

Spencer is a fan of food. I've never seen a baby eat like this. It's like he is always ravenous and can't wait to get the yummy goodness into his mouth. We've been experimenting with new tastes and textures, as well as some old favorites and here are just a few of our adventures...

Teething biscuits.

Apples.
Blueberries.

Kiwi.

Updates

I haven't been great at blogging lately, but we've had lots going on (as always). When we last left off, I was going to be be spending my first night away from Spencer during a Ladies Weekend, courtesty of Molly Hamilton and friends. I was definitely nervous, but had a fabulous time catching up with friends, spending a day at the spa...and sleeping through the night. The boys had fun daddy/son time at home too.

Uncle Tyty came to down with the band for a special show at The Reef, so we decided Spencer could stay up past his bedtime to visit. His first time in a bar! Not his last, I am sure. Here are the Stoney Boys...what a motley crew.

Bathtimes are always the best times in our house. It's hard to believe that he used to hate them so much. I'm not sure why this pic cracks me up so much (or why it turned out so yellow) but I just thought it was really funny that he had to have EVERY bath toy in his hands.

Now the little guy is now recovering from RSV. What a long week it has been! Luckily his symptoms were never severe enough to warrant a visit to the hospital, but I was one worried mommy! He seemed happy to be back with his buds at daycare today and is busily crawling around and terrorizing Fergie.

March Madness!

I have never been a big basketball fan, but I figure I have a son now, so I need to bone up on all sports. Not to mention filling out and tracking my bracket has brought out a fun competitive side in me (I'm currently second place in my office pool!). Spencer really seems to enjoy watching basketball at home with daddy so we thought we'd try out a Stampede game. Thanks to The Idaho Foodbank and AgriBeef we were lucky enough to score some suite tickets.

It was a little loud in the arena and he was much happier hanging out in the suite...just like his mamma!

Back on the home front, we have been busy loading up the ipad with all sorts of apps for Spencer to play with. It's almost kinda sad...there are even apps that will read to your kids for you. Spence is a big fan of the "L" Lightbulb in the alphabet app and trying to blow bubbles in the koi pond.
We go pants free at home a lot these days. For some reason lately he just fights me to put the pants on, so I pick my battles.

3.13.11

We had a nice visit from Nana and Poppy this weekend. They hadn't seen the little nugget since New Years (skyping just doesn't count) so he had lots of fun showing off all of his new tricks, including impressing them with his ipad skills. It just kills me that BABIES know how to use ipads. Crazy. ANYWAY, as is tradition when the Stonehocker's are here, we went to The Cheesecake Factory, where Spencer discovered his new favorite thing in the world: brown bread.

Happy grandparents.

Another trip to the park for swings...Rocco Man met us too!

Trip to the Park

We are not really a cold weather family. We don't really enjoy any snow related activities because we hate being cold. Even Fergie doesn't like to go outside when the weather is bad. So, we've been cooped up for a while, and our trip to Vegas gave us a taste of that sunshine we love so much. Sunday I couldn't take it anymore and we bundled up for a trip to the park. I can't say it was Spencer's first trip, because we went this summer and fall, but of course, he was really too little to get in to it. This time was a different story and he had so much fun! This picture cracks me up to no end...his first time on a slide and he's holding on to his hat. I mean seriously, how hilarious and cute is that?
Spencer had a great time on the swings. I love that we are within walking distance to this great park...I see many, many visits in our future.
